Marko Dabrović will take part as a panelist at the conference “Playing by the Rules: Technical Compliance and Funding Opportunities for Sports Facility Development”, jointly organized by the Croatian Olympic Committee and the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
The conference will be held on 10 November 2025 at the Chamber’s Grand Hall in Zagreb, starting at 10 a.m. It will bring together experts from the fields of sport, architecture, construction, and public administration with the aim of fostering discussion on the development of modern sports infrastructure in Croatia.
Marko will join the panel “User Perspective: From Local Experiences to International Expectations”, which will address how the misalignment of sports facilities with international standards affects the potential to host major competitions, generate revenue, and support community development. The discussion will focus on the challenges of translating international standards into concrete project tasks, the balance between design and regulatory requirements, and the role of architecture in ensuring the sustainability and adaptability of future sports facilities.
The “Playing by the Rules” conference aims to encourage dialogue among stakeholders and lay the foundation for the strategic development of modern and sustainable sports infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia.
