Hotel Marjan rising again

04. November 2025

Construction works on Hotel Marjan in Split are progressing rapidly. Following the completion of demolition, excavation, and foundation works, the hotel’s structure is steadily taking shape, and construction of the tower that will soon define the Split skyline is now underway.

The comprehensive reconstruction project preserves the urban planning principles of the original design by architect Lovre Perković, while reimagining the building within its old dimensions.

The new Marjan consists of a three-story horizontal base with two atriums housing the hotel’s public areas, and a vertical tower that retains the original functional concept. The design emphasizes integration with the city’s views, stronger connection to the West Coast urban fabric, and activation of the ground floor as a new meeting point for both residents and guests.

With 285 accommodation units, almost all offering sea views, the hotel combines modern comfort with respect for its iconic heritage. The tower apartments open into spacious loggias, while the rooftop will feature facilities overlooking the Adriatic.

After years of stagnation, Marjan is rising once again – as a symbol of Split’s renewed elegance and one of the city’s most significant urban revitalization projects.
