Conference “M² for the Future – Affordable and Sustainable Housing”

26. September 2025

On Friday, September 26, 2025, the HGK Grand Hall in Zagreb will host a conference that brings together key stakeholders in housing policy who can contribute to greater affordability and the development of housing in Croatia and the EU.

The conference entitled “M² for the Future – Affordable and Sustainable Housing”, is jointly organized by Member of the European Parliament and coordinator of the EPP Housing Crisis Committee Nikolina Brnjac, the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Zagreb.

The event will highlight a range of pressing issues within housing policy. Attendees will hear lectures on sustainable housing, European policies and financing models supporting the housing crisis, as well as the importance of local authorities in planning, building, and maintaining housing. Participants will showcase best practices and solutions with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the interconnection between housing policy, demographics, and quality of life.

We are proud to highlight the participation of 3LHD partner Marko Dabrović, who will present the urban regeneration project Gredelj in the final part of the conference, as an example of transforming a space into a new center of quality living and housing in Zagreb.

Although participation in the conference is free of charge, the number of places is limited, so be sure to secure your spot by registering via this link.
