3LHD partner Marko Dabrović participated as a panelist at the 29th Tourism Discussions, held on 17 September 2026 in Zagreb. This year’s discussion, organised by the Institute for Tourism, focused on the topic “Hospitality and Climate Change - From Risks to Smart Investments.”
The panel brought together experts from the fields of hospitality, architecture and investment. Alongside Marko Dabrović, the panel featured Burak Baykan, Regional Director of Doğuş Group for Southeast Europe, and Dr Cindy Heo from EHL Hospitality Business School in Switzerland. The discussion was moderated by Dr Matina Gjurašić from the Institute for Tourism.
The conversation focused on the growing impact of climate change on the hospitality sector - from rising temperatures and increasingly frequent droughts to pressure on water resources and rising energy costs. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for the hospitality industry to adapt to new climate conditions and how future hotels can be designed to respond to changes that are already shaping the tourism sector.
The discussion also addressed the long-term value of hospitality investment and how to balance the needs of guests, investors, and the environment in a rapidly changing context.
