We invite you to the lecture "Freedom to Move", which will take place on May 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM, organized by the City Library of Rijeka. The lecture will be given by Ivana Šajn, project lead and long-time member of the 3LHD team.
This year, 3LHD marks 30 years of practice, during which the studio has realized numerous projects that shape contemporary urban space. In Rijeka, completed works include the Zamet Centre and Square and the pedestrian bridge over the Delta, while one of the key projects currently underway is the Žabica Bus Terminal.
The terminal is being constructed 18 years after 3LHD won the public architectural competition, and its realization represents a significant step in transforming the city center. Positioned between the railway station and the ferry terminal, the project brings more than just new infrastructure – it introduces a new urban logic, integrating connections, relieving traffic congestion, and creating new public spaces.
More about the development of the project, its challenges, and the future of Rijeka’s waterfront will be presented by Ivana Šajn, a licensed architect with extensive experience across different project typologies and the lead on this ambitious infrastructure venture.
